Stealing is SO Fun!

Kaylee's new favorite thing to do is to take WHATEVER Sophie has from her. Sophie is a very patient sweet puppy and she always waits for Kaylee to drop it or give it back. Kaylee's favorite thing is Sophie's bone. She has tried to chew on it. I know GROSS, but for some reason she thinks it is yummy. Here is the conversation going on in these pictures:

Wes: Kaylee, give me Sophie's bone. (notice it is in her hands.)

Kaylee: "Ok Sophie, you can have it back."

Kaylee: "I gave it to her daddy, I promise I did!"

Kaylee: "Daddy, it is not behind my back."

BUSTED!!! Daddy swipes it and throws the thief in the air!

All I have to say for this post is one word...

LOVE!

(These two love each other more than I could have ever imagined!!!)

Goodbye for Good

Usually goodbye is a HARD word to say, but NOT this time. Yesterday I was able to say goodbye to these large baby items. It is hard to believe that Kaylee has already out grown these items, but I have to say I am very excited to get them out of the house.

Kaylee was very excited to see all of her toys in one place. She sat and played with them until we packed them in a friend's car. She looks so big!

Here is her new smile. Landon did this exact smile at this age and so did I.

A Little Guest at Dinner

I usually try to feed Kaylee right before we sit down to dinner that way I am able to eat a warm dinner too. This day she sat at the table with us and ate some table food and then wanted down. I think she thought that we were going to come and play with her and when we didn't she made her way over to us. Usually when she does this she comes to me and tries to crawl in my lap, but instead she went to "Lan Lan". They both thought it was very funny!

Kaylee's Ticker on this Blog

Ok, if you don't know what a ticker is...it is the thing at the top of the blog that tells how old Kaylee and Landon are. I just looked at the Kaylee's ticker and the reality that we are so close to the number 1 hit me. I am so excited because these are the sweetest moments to me. She does something new everyday, but the reality of how fast it is going blows me away.

I will enjoy every second with this Little Bit, she is a precious little girl!

Still Dating

Wes and I were very excited to get to go to a quiet dinner together the Sunday before I had to go back to work. We LOVED being with all of our family, but it was nice to just have some alone time to just talk. We reminisced about our first date 11 years ago. It is funny how much we have grown and fallen more in love. We talked about how life was "easier" back then and how much sleep we used to get, but we wouldn't go back for anything. We are blessed beyond words with a wonderful little family. I am more in love with Wes each day. He is my strength, encouragement, and allows me to see life in a different way. We have changed and grown a lot in the last 11 years, but I still love to date this man!

We are still dating and hope it NEVER ends!!!

Kaylee - 10 months

10 months...can this really be true? What an amazing little girl we have!

Here are some of the new things that she is doing:

- Pulling up and walking around holding onto things.

- Walks holding fingers

- Walks while pushing her walker

- Says..."Bye Bye Dada" or "Bye Bye Nana"

- Loves to play in the bathtub

- Has 8 teeth and working on the 1 year old molars

- Is a little sassy especially when you try to wipe her nose...(she doesn't realize who her mommy and daddy are...we will not put up with Little Miss Sassy)

- She loves to chew on the dog's toys (UGH!)

- She has found the dog food and water bowl

- She is taking 8oz bottles

- She is starting to try foods that we are eating. She is not too sure about big girl food.

- She LOVES water and her sippy cup

- She will hold her sippy cup, but REFUSES to hold her bottle (Landon did the same thing)

- She loves to dance when music comes on. She will bob her head with the beat.

- She loves Sophie or the "dig"

- She will give her toys a kiss if you tell her to, but she won't give us one yet.

- She is still her daddy and Landon's little princess...she has those boys WRAPPED!!!

I can't believe that we are getting SO close to her first birthday. I am having fun doing little things here and there for her birthday.

New Years Resolutions

Every year it seems we are all expected to have a New Years resolution, so 2012 should be no different. This year I decided to really think about what my goals for the year are and I came up with a few resolutions.

1. Of course I want to get back to the workout routine that I had after Kaylee was born. Wes and I again are going to work together to motivate each other.

2. I want to make sure that I remind Wes DAILY of how important he is to me! When you become parents you DAILY remind your children how much you cherish them. I want to make sure that I don't always assume that Wes knows how much he means to me. I want to make sure that I am ALWAYS showing him that he is my/our world!

3. I also want to start to use my pinterest. If I am not doing the things that I pin then they are just pins. My goal is to complete at least one craft, recipe, or DIY project each month.

These are my goals for 2012. I am excited to see what I can accomplish!
