Underwear and Pumpkin Play Dough

Kaylee got up from nap on the WRONG side of the bed, but she wanted more thank anything was to take her diaper off and put on her brother's underwear from the laundry basket. She tried them on and they kept falling off, so I sent Landon up for one of his older pair of underwear. They stayed on her when I rolled them over a couple of times. She was so proud of herself!

 Then it was time to make pumpkin play dough that Landon's teacher had asked some mommy's to make. Since Nana and Great Grandma were here I thought this was a task that we could do. It started off ALL wrong. Nana didn't read the directions she just started combining all of the ingredients, well we had to throw that out. Then I started to combine yellow and red food coloring to make it orange, well I accidentally grabbed the green and red. I have to say we had a lot of laughs, but as you can see it was A LOT of fun! (and yes Kaylee is still wearing the underwear)

Here is the finished dough. It was a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday Great Grandma

Nana and Great Grandma came in for the weekend. It was her birthday last week so we decided to celebrate her birthday while she was here. Landon, Kaylee, and I made brownies before Kaylee went to bed.

 Wonder why the brownies have a lot of holes??? Well, the smart baker that I am pulled out the brownies and immediately put the candles in. I was on the phone with my mom when Landon started yelling that the candles were falling over. Yes, the brownies MELTED my candles.

 Here is a small gift and cards. We also decorated her room.

The next night we took Great Grandma to Cracker Barrel. It was a great weekend!

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

Usually we go to Washington Farms for their opening weekend, but Wes wasn't home on any weekends this month, so we decided to go somewhere a little closer. So, on Thursday after school we went to the Buford Corn Maze. They have pumpkins, a jump house, animals, and a corn maze.

We started with the animals. This is the first time that Kaylee has seen farm animals. She kept calling the pig a dog.

 There was a sweet goat that the owner walked around on a leash. I understood why Kaylee called it a dog. Either way dog or goat, it was sweet!

 I don't know why it surprised me that Kaylee went right up to feed the goats. She is such a daredevil!

 Then it was time for a hayride. As you can see I could NOT get them to look at the camera.

 Kaylee has hit that age where she refuses to look at me if I have the camera in my hand.

We then went on the mile hike through the corn maze. I took the stroller, but we quickly learned that

Kaylee "determined" Sturgeon was not going to get in the stroller. She was determined that she WAS going to walk the whole thing. She did great!

We enjoyed picking out our pumpkin and spending time together!

Can you believe your eyes?

Yes, that is Kaylee sitting on the potty. A month ago she started coming to me telling me that she needed a diaper change. I thought we would just get the potty down and then it all started. She started telling us and Nana Irene that she needed to "poop", but that means pee pee and poop. Now she has started saying "bafroom". Either way she is doing such an AWESOME job and she is only 19 months old. I am very proud of her determination at such an early age.

My Little Helpers

We got the playroom picked up so that I could vaccum, but I had 2 little munchkins that wanted to help. I guess I should take the help while I can get it. I know there will be a day when I will have to force them help me clean.
