Haircuts and the Doctor

Kaylee and Landon both needed a hair trim and Ms. Maria surprised Kaylee with an adorable braid. I wish I could do this, but I tried and I just can't.

Landon complained about his ear hurting really bad, so Kaylee and I took him to the doctor.  These 2 are so silly together!

The doctor said that he had swimmers ear and a little boil that was probably hurting him more than anything. We got drops and a sab to put in his ear. He sat out of swim lessons for 3 days until the boil was gone and I could get ear plugs in. We tried a swim cap too, but that was a disaster!

The same thing happened last year with swimmer's ear, so the doctor recommended some over the counter drops to put in both kids' ears after swimming and it will dry their ears up. I wish I would have known this earlier. The doctor said that with him in the ocean and pool everyday for a week and then a week of swim lessons caused this. Now I am prepared for next year. I hate my big man to be sick. 

2 Kids and 3 Dogs

Mom and Grandma went to Hawaii again for 10 days and that meant that Gingi and Katy came to visit us. 

Wes was making a smoothie and this piece of kale looked like a crown. She is a healthy princess!

I was holding a glass of water and Gingi kept whinnying at me, so I held the glass down and she started to drink.

Daddy is HERE!

I was SO excited to drive with Steve to the airport to pick up Wes. He only has 2 days with us here before we head home, but I couldn't wait to get the days started!

Our first day we ended up at the beach relaxing!

We went go carting and relaxed at the house for 2 days. I love being on vacation with my kids, but it isn't complete without Wes!

THE VAN

The kids LOVE Mimi and Bubba's van! They love the room and most importantly the DVD player that is attached to the car.

This is how the kids travel EVERYWHERE in Destin! Landon said we need a van because vans come with DVD players. I had to explain to him that any car can have a built in DVD player and even if we had one they wouldn't be allowed to watch it except on trips that are longer than a hour. I don't think he was excited about that. 

The Pool

The kids love the pool at Mimi and Bubba's house. It is nice for Landon to play in while Kaylee naps and then she joins in when she gets up. They loved these "diaper'" floats. I am pretty sure they were in the pool everyday. 

The Island

Tammy and Steve took us to a little island that was perfect for Kaylee. There were no waves, so she was able to wade in a little without a life jacket. She loved it!

Landon and Bubba tried to fish again, but only little fish nibbled on the worm. The funny thing is the kids loved watching all of the small fish swarm to the worm and then fight over it.

Beach Day

We were excited to wake up to a BEACH DAY!!!

BUT we missed daddy!!!

Fishing

The first day it rained in the morning so we hung out at the house and wen fishing. Kaylee lasted for a few minutes, Landon hung out for awhile longer. Unfortunately, the crabs kept eating the worms, but the kids had a great time!
