School Supplies - Kindergarten

I remember being pregnant with Landon and thinking that one day I would bring him to school with me. Fast forward 5 1/2 years and that is my reality. I don't know how he is starting kindergarten, but I am SO excited for his new adventure. I look forward to hearing all of his stories, see what all he learns, and most of all to pass his sweet face in school. I am overjoyed that he has grown into this sweet, compassionate, hard working, respectful young man. He will always be my little boy, but this summer he has grown into a young man! I am such a PROUD mommy!!!

Landon was very excited when we were at Wal-mart and he saw that the school supplies were out. He wanted to shop right then, but I needed to get his list. I also wanted to wait for Wes to be with us too.

Summer fun

While Nana and Great Grandma went to Hawaii we got to keep mom's dogs, Katy and Gingi. The kids were VERY excited. Gingi is the new addition to mom's family and she is a lap dog through and through. Unfortunately, when mom visits Gingi won't sit on our laps, so the kids were excited to get her to themselves.

 Kaylee was VERY excited to have "2 ponytails".

 Daddy always said he would not dry Kaylee's hair, but look what I found him doing. Do you think she has him wrapped? YES!!!!

 My crew of 5 for 10 days.

 Landon made me a Crabby Patty like Spongebob makes.

 Mom was worried that only Gingi would get loved, but Kaylee made sure that Katy got enough love too. I think Katy would have been ok with Kaylee loving on Gingi.

(Mom's dogs aren't as used to kids hanging ALL over them!)

 Sophie's new thing is when you don't move and get her food and water when SHE wants it, she will come and get in your face. She is VERY bossy in her old age.

 When Wes got home he got some Gingi cuddle time too!



Pizza and UGA

We went with the Terrys to pizza in Athens, it was DELICIOUS!!! We then took a walk to the UGA campus. The kids got to ring the UGA bell. They thought it was great!

Then we threw money into the fountain.

Happy 33rd Birthday to ME!

Mom and Grandma came in for my birthday and brought this YUMMY cake!

 They also watched the kids so that Wes and I could go out to dinner with Kristi and Jon Terry.

 I am VERY blessed at 33!!!

We went to Athens to eat and then walked on the University of Georgia campus.



Jill's House again and On the road again!!!

We made plans to go to a water park, but Jill called us and said that they were closed. This was our last day, and we weren't in a hurry to leave so we decided to just go out to Jill's house for the day and play. We stopped and got lunch and the kids played and played and played. (Allison's back was bothering her so she was not able to join us, which made me sad, but TOTALLY understood!!!)

When Kent got home we got out the bounce house.

 Then they played on the trampoline. Kaylee made me get on with her at first, no there are NO pictures of that. After she got the hang of it she kicked me out.

We ended up playing all day and hanging out. We had pizza for dinner and then headed home. It is always so hard to leave, but I cherish EVERY moment I have with these girls and their sweet families!

We had to drive through some rain, but got to end the trip with a couple of BEAUTIFUL rainbows!!!

Dinner at Jill's House

After we all got up we went over to Jill's house to play and eat. Allison, Whitney, Brooke, and Lainey met us there too. After we had delicious tacos, we went outside to play.

Lainey is precious and never stops smiling.

 The biggest hit was their new chickens. The kids loved feeding them.

 We got out the two cars, but the black boy car didn't work so Landon had to drive his sister around in the pink car.

 We all got to hang out and just talk while the kids played. Jill and I have been friends for 14 years. Each summer we pick up right where we left off. I just love seeing our kids play together!

 Since the car wouldn't work Wes pushed the kids around the yard.

Then it was time to feed the ducks. This year they had a lot of ducks in their pond.

 Words can't express what these 2 girls mean to me! We have been through A LOT together over the last 14 years, but it has made us who we are today. I love that our friendship and weathered the storm of long distance. Wes, Landon, Kaylee, and I look forward to the summer and getting to come and play with everyone!

 Wes and I ended up staying until 9:00. Kaylee was going strong, because she took a nap, but Landon and Tinsley passed out watching a movie together. This is so precious!



Discovery Center

On Monday we all met up at the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro. The kids love this place! Unfortunately, we got there at the same time as the YMCA. It was a little crazy, but we had a blast. 

 The slide was a hit like always, but this year Kaylee got to go down. She LOVED IT. She would get to the bottom and say, "AGAIN!"

 The boys played tic-tac-toe. Landon won first.

 Then Wes won...I guess Kaylee took the X off of the top before I could snap a picture.

 Need less to say after a great lunch at Toots again...Kaylee came home and CRASHED!!! We had to wake her up after 3 hours.
