Wes' Birtday Card to ME

Wes found this card that made me CRY...REALLY CRY!!! The words are PRECIOUS!

(Here is what it says!)

Once there was this guy,

A nice guy, really.

And he met this girl.

An incredible girl-truly amazing.

So naturally the guy falls

head over heels in love with her,

and pretty soon they're picking out

china patterns and rings

and there's a wedding

and the starry-eyed couple

rides off into what will surely

be a rosy future.

Okay, so now some time has passed

and the guy is living in that future.

He's still married to this girl,

but now their life includes a lot of stuff-

appliances and bills and loads of laundry

and home repair projects.\

But between all the to-dos and have-tos,

there are these moments

when the guy stops for a minute

and looks around him.

He looks at his wife, who is still truly amazing,

he looks at their life together, all the ways and different

directions it's grown,

he looks at all

the responsibilities he's got,

and he thinks to himself,

so, this is my life.

And then he thinks,

I am one helluva lucky guy,

BIG 32

You are only as old as you feel...hmmm...32...I just don't feel it! I sometimes look at my blessed life and the fact that I have 2 kids and it BLOWS my mind. I am so glad that I feel so good for being 32.

 Wes and I went to Bonefish for a wonderful dinner with great friends...Michelle & Don McMahon, Kristi & Jon Terry, Kerri & Aaron Hildreth, Kristen Hewitt & Jen Colquhoun.

I had a blast! I have the best friends!

Bows...Almost...

I was shopping and these little bows caught my eye. Since Kaylee will NOT wear the big bows on a headband I thought that soon she might wear these.

 Well, I was able to grab a little hair in the back of her hair and get the bow in it.

 She looked so cute, but it didn't stay in for too long.

I could just eat her up!

Family Game Night - Wii Style

We used to always play the Wii when we had game night, but recently we have been playing cards instead. Last week we decided to get the Wii going again. We had a blast!

Kaylee had more fun playing with the paper on the floor. I do look forward to the day when Little Bit will be able to play with us too!

Movie Night

Father's Day

I saw this on Pinterest and the kids were excited to make it for Wes for Father's Day.

 The kids were so excited to give Wes his cards and last present. (Please ignore that Kaylee has on a dress over her pajamas. I was folding clothes and she got one of her dresses and put it on.)

Pants on the Ground

Kaylee's new favorite thing is to find ANYTHING of Landon's and put it on. Here she found his swim trunks and put them on. I tied them so they would stay on because she was getting frustrated that they would fall off of her. She walked around "sagging" most of the morning.

Pinterest - June...UNO

Landon LOVES playing games, but it is always hard for him to hold his cards. Since this is hard for him one of us always plays with him to hold his cards. I saw this great idea on Pinterest where they took an egg carton sliced the top of each bump and the cards are placed in them. He can now play by himself and that makes him so happy. He has been winning now that he is playing independently.

Lake Burton - Saturday

Saturday was our last day since Wes had to fly on Sunday, but it was still a day full of fun!

Kaylee enjoyed playing in the dog's crate. I promise we didn't lock her in.

 She also found a little chair on the first day we were there and she carried it everywhere to sit.

 I finally finished my book, so I decided to go out on the boat with everyone.

Landon got to run his remote control wave runner and Steve and Wes got to run their airplane.

 We had run out of food in the house and I needed to go into town to get wireless connection. I had to sign Landon up for soccer and the window opened at 12:00. I have learned that it fills up very quickly. We found an adorable cafe and it was delicious! It was outside and even had a place for the kids to play. Kaylee was getting tired and went over to Uncle Jeff for some snuggle time.

 While we were walking back to the car the kids spotted this car. They had a blast on it!

 It was time for Kaylee to take a nap when we got back to the house. Tammy decided to stay with her so the rest of us went out on the lake. The kids enjoyed tubing, but Landon didn't like the water splashing in his eyes. I forgot to bring his goggles and I didn't want his glasses to fall off.

It was a great trip with a lot of great memories. I look forward to the next trip!

Lake Burton - Friday

Friday we spent most our time on the water. When Kaylee went down for a nap all the kids and Sturgeon boys went out on the boat. I decided to stay at the house and enjoy the peace and quiet. I actually was able to sit and read for 3 hours. NICE...

When the kids came back they wanted to go on the canoe. I wish that I had their energy!

 Before bath time everyone decided to try to fish again. This time they actually caught a couple of fish. Wes caught the first one.

 Then Landon caught one.

 Then Brooks caught one too.
