Sneaky Easter Bunny (April 3)

While Landon and Bubba were at the store and the rest of us were getting ready for dinner the Easter Bunny snuck in on us and left presents. I tell you he is VERY sneaky!

When Landon walked in he saw the baskets and realized the eggs were outside too.

Kaylee was excited because Landon was excited. She didn't know what was going on.

They got to check out their baskets and then out to hunt eggs.

Landon would pick up an egg and shake it. He would either say, "money" or "M&M". (This is what the Easter Bunny typically brings.) Then he got to an egg that didn't sound like it had anything in it until he opened it and realized the Easter Bunny stepped it up this year and gave him a few with dollar bills in it.

Kaylee even found a couple of eggs. She was more interested in chewing on them instead of putting them in her basket.

That sneaky bunny always hides one egg up top for Landon to get.

We all had a great time hunting for eggs. I told Landon next year that Kaylee will give him a run for his money.

Painting Eggs (April 2)

Landon loves that the Easter Bunny always comes a little early to Mimi and Bubba's house. This tradition started a couple of years ago when we were in town over Easter, but Landon always wants to do eggs at their house. Mimi and Landon came home after the priate cruise and started painting eggs.

While the egss dried Landon and Bubba went to the store to get bait for fishing.

The Sturgeon Pirates (April 2)

We told Landon that Bubba had a surprise for him, but we had to take a ride in the car. We drove to Panama City, which allowed Kaylee to sleep the whole way since this was all going on during her nap. We got out of the car, put on sunscreen, and started walking on the dock. Landon was checking out all of the boats, but then he saw a pirate ship. He said, "Wow, look it is a pirate ship". Bubba asked him if he would like to go on a pirate ship and his face said it ALL. He was very excited!

I took both kids to the bathroom and while we were in there Landon said, "Mommy, are these mean pirates because if they are I am not getting on the ship!" I then took the time to explain that this was a 2 hour pirate ride with nice pirates!

Kaylee got a little fussy when we got on the ship, but she went right to the girl pirate!

The captain even stopped to talk to her. She likes to steal the show.

After we got on our way they gave all of the kids water guns to shoot each other with. Landon loved it!

Then they had to get the mops and "swab the decks" to clean off the water. (Sorry for the smudges on the pictures. My camera got a little water on it.)

After cleaning everyone, including Mimi, got their faces painted.

Then they gave the kids swords to fight each other. Landon got to fight 2 pirates.

After the pirate fight they got to blast cannon balls and catch them.

One of the pirates took all of the kids downstairs to tell them a story about a pirate who would hide his gold in the area. He would tie his gold to an orange bouys with an X on it. He then told the kids to go upstairs to see if they could spot an orange bouys.

Landon found one and yelled, "There she blows Captain."

All of the kids had to help pull the treasure out of the water.

The kids then had to wait and see what was in the chest.

Then a few kids at a time got to choose 3 pieces of treasure.

Both kids were hungry so they had to take a break to eat a hot dog. I think Kaylee is going to turn into a hot dog. She loves them!

Then they called all of the kids out to play limbo.

Kaylee did great, but by the end of the trip she was OVER IT and ready for a nap!

As we got off of the ship Landon said, "Mommy, I will never forget this day. It was the best day of my life!" That said it all. Everyone had fun, but everyone was exhausted too!
