Fishing

The first day it rained in the morning so we hung out at the house and wen fishing. Kaylee lasted for a few minutes, Landon hung out for awhile longer. Unfortunately, the crabs kept eating the worms, but the kids had a great time!

Destin Bound

I knew at the end of May that I was going to take this trip to Destin by myself, and Wes would join us for a few days at the end. I had no idea how I was going to drive 6 hours by myself with both kids, but I knew that it was something that I would have to tackle head on. I didn't think that Wes thought it was a big deal that I was driving, but he surprised me that he wanted to drive us down and fly back to Atlanta. I didn't want him to waste a day off on driving 6 hours, getting up at 4 am the next day to fly home, and start a 4 day trip. Well, he is a wonderful husband and dad and drove us to Destin. We enjoyed our drive together especially since we were able to pull over and actually eat a meal because we didn't have Sophie with us. 

When we got to Destin, Tammy and Steve were showing their house to potential buyers so we decided to not unpack and head to our favorite restaurant, The Back Porch. It was raining, but it didn't matter we were starring at the beach. We got home and had to unpack so Wes could get to bed for his flight. I really didn't want him to leave, but I knew that he had to. 

Funny thing: Landon and Kaylee slept in the same room, Kaylee in the bed and Landon on the blowup mattress, and Kaylee talked and talked and talked until one of us went up to tell her to be quiet!

Happy 34th Birthday to Me

Since I was going to be gone on my birthday mom and grandma came in early to celebrate with me. The kids had me stay outside while they helped decorate. 

I am blessed to celebrate with this crew!

(Yes, Kaylee is soaked. Her daddy was watering the yard and they decided to run through it.)

My Babies

This boy might not look like me, but his personality is so much like me it scares me. 

Kaylee saw my hair and wanted to be just like me, but she wouldn't let me clip her hair back. 

This is what I would look like if I was a stay at home mom...

I had to laugh at myself when I looked in the mirror the other day. This is what I would look like EVERYDAY if I was a stay at home mom...shower hair, tank top, capris, and no makeup. I guess it is good that I brushed my teeth and the kids are good. HA!

Baby Perry

Landon was away at a karate camp, so Kaylee and I took lunch to our sweet friend Mrs. Jenna and Baby Annie. Kaylee was beside herself holding Baby Annie. I have to say she is pretty precious! 

Mall Fun

We went to have lunch at a new restaurant at the Mall of GA, but when we got there they put a sign up saying they weren't opening for another 1 1/2 hours. I have no idea why, but we decided to just play at the mall. The kids and Wes had a blast running through the fountains and then took a turn on the merry-go-round. The kids were so excited to play with daddy at the mall.
