September 20, 2011 - ALOHA!

I know we are in Orlando not Hawaii, but at our hotel, the Polynesian, everything is about Hawaii. You are constantly greeted with "Aloha". Landon decided to keep saying "Ohio" instead.

The plane ride was smooth, but the check in...not so much. The computers went down right when we got there so we couldn't get into our rooms right away. Well, this would have been fine, but when you fly standby you are supposed to look nice. So, here we are in pants and dress shoes and it was HOT! We went ahead and pulled what we needed out of our bags, changed in the bathroom, put our clothes back in our bags, and finally we saw the computers were up. By this time Wes and I were both SWEATING and the "happiest place on Earth" was the "most chaotic place on Earth" at that point. We decided to go ahead and check into our room. It had a nice Hawaiian feel and a little porch to hang out on.

After we got our bags in we decided that we would head to The Animal Kingdom. We didn't have a lot of time, which we regret, but we got to see a little of it. Our time was limited because we had reservations at Chef Mickey's at 4:00.

Everyone let us borrow different strollers. We tried them all out and finally decided on this one from Aunt Alisa and Uncle Jeff. It had a large cover to keep Little Bit out of the sun, 5 point harness since she likes to lean forward I didn't want her falling out, it leaned back for naps, had some storage under it, and it was lightweight! We decided to just rent a stroller for Landon at each park. It was too much to take 2 strollers on the airplane!

This is what I was excited to see. She will take a nap in the stroller!

Landon is big into making deals. There was a ride that went up in the air that we wanted him to ride on. Now he might look like his daddy, but he is apprehensive of new things like me. I really want to break him of that, so we made a deal. We would pay for him to play this game if he would trust us and go on the ride. We explained that Disney is full of rides and that is what we were there to do. The lady at the game heard us talking to him and ended up giving him a stuffed alligator even though he didn't win. Landon named him "Super Alligator".

Well, he decided to get in line and keep his end of the deal until he had to go pee. When they came back the line was long, it started to rain, and we needed to leave. We told him tomorrow he WILL ride the rides!

Kaylee thought the rain on her legs was funny. Michelle McMahon gave us a bunch of ponchos to take, but do you think in the chaos of the day I thought to grab them. NO...they were in the room. Needless to say I will have them from here on out!

We had to get back on the bus to head to Chef Mickey's. The good thing about the heat was that we were dry by the time we got there.
