Day 9 - June 26, 2011 - Birthday night with Mom and kids

When I got home Landon and mom got very secretive in the kitchen. They told me and Kaylee that we had to stay out for a minute. Landon believes that no matter how old you are there has to be a theme. He kept telling Wes that he couldn't wait to decorate our house for my birthday, and when he found out that we weren't going to be home he was very upset. Well, Nana helped him out. Here is what they were doing. Mom called it a "Luau", but Landon called it a "Bird" party.

Kaylee was dressed perfectly for the occasion! Thanks mom!

Landon loved the clappers and Kaylee thought they were funny! She played with it and hit herself in the head a couple of times.

Glad I had my helper to blow out my candles.

I am very blessed at 31!

Day 9 - June 26, 2011 - Birthday morning with Wes and Landon

I woke up this morning at the "S" hotel with my two favorite boys. Kaylee stayed the night at Nana Banana's house again.

And NO...Landon slept on the pull out couch, but he did like our bed.

After they sang Happy Birthday to me we headed out for breakfast and then decided that we would go to the Chattanooga Aquarium. I actually like this aquarium better than the Atlanta one because it is so spread out that you aren't on top of everyone.

We got there right before it started raining...AGAIN!

My favorite part about the aquarium is the Sturgeon Encounter where you get to pet a Sturgeon fish. Now if you are close to me you know I LOVE my last name, but the fish could be a little cuter.

Landon attempted a lot of times to touch them.

Then on to the alligators.

I wanted a picture of Landon with the alligator behind him. I think it freaked him out a little to have his back to the gators.

This little puffer fish stayed right by us and it looked like it was smiling.

Finally, my favorite part, the penguins.

Landon and I in a shark tank. I have to say if this was real I would have a heart attack!

Landon informed me that I shouldn't play with sharks. I told him that was a great rule!

Landon thought his dad was behind him going into the crab tunnel, but when he realized he wasn't he came out quickly. I only got the top of his head.

Wes then went in to show him it was ok, but Landon wanted nothing to do with it!

What a great way to spend my 31st birthday!

Day 8 - June 25, 2011

We woke up this morning at mom's house. We spent the day hanging out, playing, and ended up over at the park before it rained once again. Luckily, all of these rains are short!

Kaylee wasn't happy about a nap in her pack and play. She preferred a nap on Nana.

This is a habit I will have to break when we get home, but right now she needs a nap!

Sophie was pitiful since Landon and I kept leaving her!

We decided to wait to eat dinner with Wes since his flight was running on time. We met him at the "S" hotel in Chattanooga again. His crew, flight attendant and first officer, were very nice and went to Mellow Mushroom with us. We then went to get ice cream, walk by the river, and then back to bed.

Today is my last day as a 30 year old! Tomorrow I am officially "in my 30's".

Day 7 - June 24, 2011

We woke up our last day ready for a nice breakfast and then our annual lunch with the girls and kids at Toots. Landon loves staying at the hotel, but his favorite thing was opening the door every morning and getting the newspaper. I guess because it is his job at home to get it from the driveway, he thought it was so cool that they put it right at the door.

Wes had a great idea to go see some of the Civil War stuff in Murfreesboro before lunch, but I found a flyer that they had a Southern Colony set up there too. Since I teach the colonies I asked really nicely if we could go see it instead. He is so good to me!

I won't bore you with all of the pictures I took, but here is a school house.

We met at Toots and had to get our group picture. Allison's mom met us there to drop off Jade and pick up the twins. 11:00 was their nap time, so they were ready for bed.

Our 2011 group picture! We have added 3 girls this year. I think these are the last additions. I can't wait to see how big everyone is next year.

My family of 4.

I have been through so much with these 2 girls. Words can't express how much they mean to me. No matter how many miles separate us we will ALWAYS be friends!

Friendship is not judgmental, controlling, or jealous. It is understanding, respectful, and comforting!

We left lunch and drove back to Chattanooga in the rain. We sat at the Chattanooga airport for 20 minutes while it STORMED...hail and all. It finally let up enough that Wes could run to his car. The kids and I headed back to mom's house, but we got 2 minutes down the road when Wes called and said his battery was dead. Long story short the airport had a jumper box and by the time I turned around he got it started. He headed back to Atlanta so he could get to work the next day and we headed back to mom's house.
