4th of July

Mom came in 4th of July weekend and had to leave the afternoon of the 4th. Our plans were to go over to The Hildreths' house for bar-b-que after mom left, let the boys shoot off a rocket, and by the time it was dark Wes would be home and we could do fireworks. Well let's see some of these things happened, but not exactly how it was planned.

Kaylee got up on the wrong side of the crib. I put her in her 4th of July outfit, but she kept spitting up so I decided to wait until that night to put her back in it. She was just cranky and wasn't into taking a nap besides one nap that morning for about 30 minutes.

Landon looked adorable in his 4th of July shirt, even though he didn't get into it until after his nap. He loves PJ day!

Needless to say since Kaylee only slept 30 minutes that day she never made it into her 4th of July outfit, and we never made it to the Hildreths' house. Kerri was nice enough to bring over this wonderful spread for me since Kaylee went to bed at 5pm.

(Ribs, hot dogs, baked beans, corn on the cob, bread, watermelon, cake, and cookies.)

It rained off and on all night. Landon and I sat out on the porch and watch the Hildreth boys shoot their rocket. Landon even got to run over and shoot it off once. Wes didn't make it home before the fireworks because of all of the rain/storms that were moving through, so that left me and little man. We sat on the porch and watch the Hildreths set the fireworks off. Kaylee slept through all of the noise.

Wes finally got home late, but I let Landon stay up because he was looking forward to seeing daddy. He was exhausted!

Since Kaylee did not get to wear her 4th of July outfit it became a 5th of July outfit. Either way she was CUTE!
